A Statewide Network of Community Human Service Agencies
| For more than 100
years Child and Family Services of Michigan, Inc., has provided a wide range of programs
directed toward strengthening Michigan's children and families. Through the services
provided by a network of member agencies, literally thousands of disadvantaged children
have had the opportunity to lead successful lives. Today, Child and Family Services of Michigan, Inc. provides comprehensive social services through nine member agencies across the state. Services are offered to children and families needing assistance in several different areas. Individual, family and pregnancy counseling is available; as well as domestic violence, substance abuse, juvenile delinquency, foster care, adoption and elderly assistance programs. Child and Family Services of Michigan, Inc., is a private, non-profit, statewide, non-sectarian social service organization and is the repository for one of the countries largest collections of adoption records. The agency operates a progressive post-adoption program and provides comprehensive support services to other Michigan non-profit social service agencies. This allows member agencies to allocate more of their funding to direct care services for children and families. Our annual, all-volunteer "Operation Good Cheer" Christmas gift-giving project is unique in that the foster care children and youth receive the gifts they wish for through the use of individual "Wish Lists", generous donors and volunteer pilots. Our services offer solutions for many social problems that influence lives, both directly and indirectly. |
